Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it for sprint planning, retrospectives, system architecture design, and presentation. It allows us to quickly spin up diagrams and presentations and allow for collaboration. The lack of rigidity in the interface allows for more freedom and creativity.
  • Collaboration
  • Drawing
  • Freedom of thoughts/ideas (no structure)
  • Ease of use for new users
  • Keeping the controls consistent
  • Reduced time to spin up diagrams
  • Made collaboration easy
Love the open whiteboard concept that allows your creativity to flow. If you're a messy person, this is the perfect tool for you to lay out your ideas.
There's a bit of a learning curve and the lack of any structure can be daunting to some folks who are used to more traditional tools like PowerPoint, draw.io, etc. Also, getting to know all the tricks that make things easy like voting, bringing everyone to you, etc can take some time.
We've been collaborating remotely ever since the pandemic and this tool is our go-to for collaborating ideas due to the aforementioned points.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

This is a great tool just for drawing, I still use it to make very structured diagrams which is easier to do in this tool than Miro. But Miro is an all-in-one quick tool that does it all, so it lacks certain features that make draw.io easier to use.
It is suited for: Collaboration Brainstorming Mindmapping It is less appropriate for: structured documentation of products people that like structure
