Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Mapping content strategies and timelines using thematic roadmaps and calendars.Visualizing the flow from ideation to publication. Facilitating brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for articles or campaigns. Overall, Miro enhances productivity by fostering collaboration, improving visualization of complex tasks, and centralizing resources which are all essential for efficient editorial operations.

Pros

  • ability to visualise complex processes on a board from a perspective that architects are used to as an interface
  • real time collaboration
  • integrating with other platforms
  • templates

Cons

  • after many years of use, I started to see old projects bulk up, a better way of downloading an storing them would be nice. perhaps an archived projects section would be nice
  • an integration with rhino, autocad, or adobe cc would make things easier to view some drafts for the creatives
  • improved productivity
  • meeting efficiency
We generally start with previous project templates and visualize and manage issues directly on boards, while Google Drive integration centralizes document management. Commenting, interactive tools like sticky notes, live voting, and reactions encourage participation and engagement during sessions, even for the bigger groups. We are always looking forward to the upcoming updates.
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate Miro 8 for ease of integration from the perspective of an architect and urban designer. Its integrations with tools like Google Drive, Jira, and design platforms streamline workflows and centralize resources. However, creating custom integrations or managing complex setups may require technical expertise, slightly limiting accessibility for non-technical users
boards allow team members to brainstorm, plan, and manage projects in real time, regardless of location. Features like live cursors, commenting, and video chat ensure active participation during remote sessions, bridging the gap between on-site and remote workers. it makes workshops more engaging, we can collaborate synchronously or asynchronously, ensuring flexibility in project discussions

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is an essential tool in my work as an architect and urban designer, particularly for collaborative processes with clients and students. Its intuitive interface and real-time collaboration features make it ideal for brainstorming, concept development, and project planning. I use Miro to create architectural diagrams, urban layouts, and design workflows that can be shared and edited collaboratively. The platform’s ability to integrate visuals, text, and data into one space fosters creativity and ensures alignment among all stakeholders. However, when working with older generations who may find the interface challenging to navigate, I adapt by using Miro for my own production purposes. In these cases, I export the boards as PDFs to present the content in a more accessible format.
