Miro--Great tool for workshops, sandboxing your own ideas, and process mapping
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro to conduct process mapping, workshops, kanban planning, and independent sandboxing. My favorite tools are the process mapping tools because they are very easy to use. I wish some of the templates for higher-end functions were easier to edit but if you enjoy taking the time to make your own products and templates, it is very customizable. I have also used it as a whiteboard in meetings and the voting function is fantastic for a workshop or design thinking session. The timer and music functions are nice to have.
Pros
- Easy-to-use tools and templates
- Very easy to share
- Convenient to build your own templates
- Very nice aesthetics
Cons
- More impactful out-of-the-box templates from a visual perspective
- Better music selection
- The ability to hotkey insertable objects, like sticky notes
- Improved productivity
- Improved collaboration internally
- Presents well to design teams for review and approval of concepts
This is the primary function of Miro in our organization. We use it to collaborate on dozens of projects at a nonstop rate. I usually have a Miro board open on my computer.
Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?
Not sure
Are you happy with Miro's feature set?
Yes
Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Miro go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Miro again?
Yes
Miro takes disciplines and ideas from several tools I have used and tagged. It doesn't do better than any other tool I have used in the specific area, but as a one-stop shop, it does well. It's worth noting that in no way is this tool designed for data manipulation, data visualization, or data warehousing.
