Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro to show initial UI/UX flows for software development. It allows us to transform software requirements into visual flows that we can demonstrate to our internal (developers, marketing, adjacent departments, etc) and external (contractors, customers, etc) stakeholders to make sure we understand the approach and agree on the concepts.
  • Intuitive workflows
  • Versioning
  • Presentation mode
  • easy conversion to high resolution imaging
  • more roles with more access types
  • Breakout comments by user with user initials instead of every comment being yellow
  • Reduced time from requirements to concept
  • Increased productivity
  • Faster approval from stakeholders
As stated before, Miro is a really useful tool for taking requirements spelled out in a software specification and ensuring the requirements are well understood and agreed on by multiple stakeholders. It's also really easy to comment and have a discussion on various screens. I also love the use of stickies (and different colors) to identify different things. For example, I use black for external links, orange for questions, green for technical notice, and purple for UI/UX-related notes.
Nearly everyone in my organization can easily access the Miro boards to review our UI/UX designer's concepts and approve them. They can also start to get a feel for the flow of the app. It has also been helpful for us to agree on a theme for the app.

Figma has a better way of displaying comments based on a user's initials and creating high-resolution images. I also enjoy the presentation mode in Figma a little better than in Miro. Otherwise, these two applications have a lot of similarities in terms of capabilities. Miro is a little easier to access by my organization and share with contractors.
It is really intuitive how Miro allows for flows to be displayed. It is extremely useful for developing a quick concept to share with our team of low-resolution imaging. It is a little challenging to change the images from Low resolution to high-resolution. It is easy to share within our team or with external contractors.
