Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We began using Miro as a more versatile alternative to Microsoft Teams for collaboration. We were seeking an online platform that allowed multiple users to collaborate, brainstorm and create in a visual manner. We typically use it for workshops and brainstorming sessions but can foresee using it for more purposes, including collaboration-driven meetings in the future.

Pros

  • Visualization
  • Multi-user support
  • Ease of Access and Use
  • Intuitive
  • Data exports

Cons

  • Some users get stuck when logging in
  • Sometimes it can be difficult to use some features (such as sticky notes) which can glitch
  • Reports can be improved - it would be nice if visualizations could be exported in an as-is format
  • Improved collaboration experience
  • Improved user experience - participants enjoy Miro sessions
  • More objective results as a result of brainstorming sessions using Miro
Limited insight to provide here. It was fairly intuitive to get started with (since we use the online version). What I would like to see is a way to integrate Miro with other platforms like Microsoft Teams or Outlook meetings in a way that a Miro board can be launched from within other commonly used applications.
Again, not sure how well Miro integrates as we only used the online version.
Yes, it's definitely been a more 'visual' way of collaborating with multiple users in different countries (and time zones) in real-time. It was very useful in terms of engaging end users in a way other than speaking - rather, it complimented discussions well. We primarily use it for brainstorming sessions at the moment, but I can foresee it being used for other reasons in the future.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

No

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

From what I recall, MURAL has similar features to Miro, but Miro appears to be quite different. I haven't used MURAL in some time, so they may have similar features now. What I do recall was that we integrated MURAL into Office 365 in a previous organization, and it seemed to work well at the time.
Definitely best-suited for brainstorming and collaboration. It was very useful when trying to get a group of people to collaborate and brainstorm in a manner that was more visual and allowed for real-time collab. It definitely needs pre-work, and so it might not be best-suited for impromptu sessions. I noticed that many of the templates do need to be thought out and set up in a systematic manner.
