Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for brainstorming and as a digital whiteboard. Also to follow up the whole lifecycle of a project in a collaborative way. Occasionally we use it like a presentation tool, nevertheless it can be really useful in this field, since the zooming in and out feature allows you to focus on the relevant area at each time without losing track of the overall topic in discussion.

Pros

  • Zoom to elements
  • Information structuring features
  • Usability is a key differentiator from competitors

Cons

  • AD integration could be smoother
  • Concurrent use license model would be ideal
  • Not easy to set up a hybrid way where you buy licenses for some editors in the company but the rest are only readers.
  • Made collaboration more fun in remote working.
  • Bring teams together in an agile and smooth way for every one.
  • We couldn't extend the benefits of the tool as much as we would have liked due to the lack of a pricing model fitting our needs.
The integration with Azure AD hasn't been as smooth as one would expect. More and better Active Directory group integration and role assignments for readers only would really make the admin work much easier. On the other hand, integrations with end-user applications work fine as much as we could experience.
It has been really helpful, mainly in times of pandemic and remote working, where collaboration has taken some impact. Specifically in new projects, Miro has been a valuable tool, since it integrates hundreds of templates that can set the working framework of a specific collaboration session and help the people have an overview of the structure of the meeting or the work that is being done even from the beginning of the session.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It's an excellent tool for brainstorming and a multiuser whiteboard. The uses can vary, from project tracking to prototyping, flow diagrams, or even presentations. It works very smoothly and the interface and usability are great. In my opinion, the suitability of this tool depends more on the team using it than on the scenario that it is used for. A team that can collaborate and does it often can really take advantage of this tool is very diverse cases.
