Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is a great platform to collaborate and review the performance of a team, project, and team contribution and retrospection. We used this after every major project completion to do retrospection as well as to provide visibility for high-performing individuals and teams. The session becomes very interactive with Miro, and each person gets involved in it. Overall it's a wonderful platform for collaboration and reviews.

Pros

  • Providing different icons for representing failures, improvements.
  • A collaborative environment where each team member can review and put comments at the same time.
  • A workflow or treasure hunt type scenario that uniquely separates out the reviews based on their emotions.

Cons

  • Can be added to major platforms like Teams, Slack for more usage.
  • Individual goals should be available readily and based on the projects a user has done.
  • An automatic recommendation for future goals as well as achieved goals using some AI or ML should be added.
  • Reduced project completion time as it organises all the tasks and efforts
  • Good feedback mechanism to avoid repetitive mistakes
  • Cost saving by increasing productivity
I think it is using some ML-based recommendation engine to generate insights on the data and numbers. Along with it, the UI, I think, is implemented through SVG images and java animations to represent the moving parts. The backed is most likely the SQL-based implementation to keep a mapping of a project and all the users using it.
I think it is very simple to integrate it with other systems. Also, a very clean interface for access gain. Looks like a very simplistic way of granting access to people and making certain groups to grant access in a single step. Also, I think workflow between different projects is very easy to understand and maintain.
For our team, multiple people are staying in US and EU zone. So it is very useful when you provide a real-time distributed platform for collaboration. We generally use it to collaborate across a team of more than 50 members at a time across different time zones and locations.

Most appropriate is for retrospection. This platform helps in retrospecting every project, the feedback of which can be used in the next projects to avoid mistakes again and again. It might not be appropriate as of now to determine whether an individual is high performing or not. Performance is a very subjective criteria and should be treated case by case.
