Overall Satisfaction with Miro

A very useful platform for collaboration; using it to draw up process maps and collate ideas from multiple teams as part of a workshop or presentation. The customization of templates and diagramming makes each Miro board feel personal and directed rather than a blank slate. Voting can be used to prioritize areas of the business based on the experience and insight of individuals.

Pros

  • Intuitive design.
  • Encourages collaboration.
  • Colorful.
  • Customizable to the needs of the day.

Cons

  • Better tracking of edit history.
  • Export to google slides.
  • Integrate with Lookstudio.
  • Increased engagement in workshop discussion.
  • Clearer visibility of project progress.
  • No hard figures; apologies.
Intuitive and easy to export Miro boards to other document types - particularly PDF. This makes sharing maps and diagrams with stakeholders convenient and effective, without having to re-type or re-format the board as a Doc/Word/email/etc. The Slack plug-in is useful for receiving notifications of updates to shared boards.
Positive impact; new starters can quickly get up to speed with using Miro due to its accessible design. There isn't a felt learning curve in the same way as other similar spaces or tools used to achieve the same results. Affording everyone the ability to contribute to a discussion when participants are working remotely helps all voices to be heard.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro offers greater accessibility and simplicity while also providing a reliable and responsive space to collaborate. Other competitors provide similar products but aren't as quick and easy to pick up and build process maps with. There are also limitations to integration with other apps and also the exporting of boards.
Well suited: Project collaboration - ideal as part of a meeting, especially when users are joining remotely. Workshopping - allows different users to fill in their own knowledge onto a shared board. Tracking development milestones - using swim lanes to create an Agile management resource Less suited: long-form text - Miro has a more high-level feel to it, and outside of headline figures or snippets, doesn't feel suited to detailed documentation.
