Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I've used Miro for a number of different reasons, but primarily as a collaboration and brainstorming tool with remote teams working on projects. The fact that you can see everyone on the screen and the changes they make at the same time is extremely helpful in the brainstorming process to help organize our ideas and build plans. It's so easy to group ideas and view trends, as well as develop ideas further. You can see your whole process laid out on one board. There is so much versatility that we were able to use it every step of the way.

Pros

  • Live changes and visualization of what each person is doing
  • Editing and available tools are well-rounded
  • Ability to share and collaborate with others is easy and efficient
  • Premade templates to get you started
  • App integration
  • Zoom and movement is very smooth
  • Continue to fine tune and add additional tools to make the collaboration process better

Cons

  • Has nice getting started guidance, but would love to see something more robust suggesting features and functionality.
  • Provided an excellent tool for meaningful collaboration and discussion when Covid sent us out of office and we could not meet face to face.
  • Provided an excellent solution to our growing remote workforce to be able to participate seamlessly in collaboration.
  • Kept us on track and organized while planning and executing projects.
It's very easy to use and intuitive. They have a great little intro checklist to walk you through the basics and get started.
Unfortunately, my company had a lot of other tools we were using, so Miro was more of a niche project tool, not a company wide one so implementation was on an individual basis as needed. However, I would have loved to make it a company wide tool, I think it would have helped us be more efficient and inclusive.
Amazingly. I've never used another tool that made digital collaboration so easy and seamless. It was honestly a better experience digitally than many I had in person. You don't have to compete to get your voice out, you don't have to be concerned your ideas won't be heard just because you are remote. Miro allows everyone to get their information and ideas out at once and then go through and evaluate/organize. It was essential on our company's initiative to improve UI/UX and I don't think we would have made the strides we did without it.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

The only other tools we've used for remote collaboration like this was messaging services and a community OneNote. Those tools have their uses, but they were more of a bandaid than a meaningful solution like Miro was. Miro is built for collaboration and has many tools to support it, while the other tools were built for other things but could be used for collaboration if you had no other option.
Miro is an excellent tool for brainstorming because it allows for easy organization of ideas and provides plenty of tools and functionality to move those ideas forward into projects. It's also a great place to gather and organize feedback to take action on.
That is the extent to which I have used it, but based on the tools available, it has tons of applications for planning projects and collaborating.
