Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We draw out infrastructure and software architecture planning before we start coding. We also track app user feedback from 800+ stores that use our app so we can easily visualize the feedback. These visualizations help us track revisions and notes and make it easier to see big picture planning with input from many users at once.

Pros

  • multiple users editing and commenting
  • helps with organized visualizations that are easy for teams to access
  • very customizable for many use-cases

Cons

  • super slow load times
  • i don't think i use it enough to have any major qualms with it
  • it has helped us be more productive with meetings where we are planning ahead or drawing out infrastructure
I've never used any other product like it before because this is my first remote job so it seems great for what it is. using sticky notes from 10 different users on a board at once is really useful
the api was fairly straightforward. i used it to post feedback cards from our api to a feedback board so we could visualize feedback better. I dont have any other integration experience though

our UI designers use Figma for app design. to me they seem like totally different use cases. i don't think i would use miro for what we use Figma for. if you can do the same stuff in miro as you can in Figma, i had no idea. not sure
its great for drawing out software or tech architecture, using shapes and symbols to show what api interacts with what data base and so on and so forth. its also good for team activities where you want everyone brainstorming ideas or typing out input into a variety of prompts to quickly get everyone's input.
