Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro enables our remote working team to collaborate effectively without being in a physical room. We can use it to ideate, document design decisions, and clarify our understanding of the problems we are solving.

Pros

  • Easy to use and learn.
  • Able to export as PDF.
  • Able to manage access levels.
  • Constantly adding new features and improvements.

Cons

  • Boards struggle with larger quantities of objects.
  • Native smart chart functionality.
  • Sometimes it gets confused with external trackpads and identifies them as a mouse.
  • Miro has enabled use to keep our 100% working remotely model post pandemic.

We have not integrated.
Miro has enabled us to remain a remote-first company, we can use Miro to collaborate on all kinds of projects, and the ability to create virtual sticky notes which are not handwritten has massively reduced the amount of admin required when using physical sticky notes.

Used MURAL on a training course, and while it was similar, Miro seemed better. I have not evaluated both on paid plans however as I only had guest access on MURAL.
Miro is great for ideating in small working groups, as well as being great to facilitate and run remote workshops.
