Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro to document current user flows and to create proposals or alternatives for new user flows and interactions. Usually, we review what could be the best experience for the user and review alternatives to get ideas and choose one.

Pros

  • You can have multiple people working on the same board and you can have also multiple frames on the same board
  • It has multiple templates and resources with explanations
  • It is really intuitive to use, it works as expected when you are interacting with it, it is really easy to learn
  • It can holds tons of information and keep working good, you can add images and different resources and they are going to be displayed on the board
  • You can copy or duplicate flows and just work in variations
  • You can work with tables in a visual way

Cons

  • Last time I checked tables has a limit in columns. That could be improve.
  • Review how to move efficiently multiple lines that connect in parallel different elements.
  • Table behavior when you have a flow on top of it.
  • Save or define styles
  • It reduced project completion time because you can review with the team the flows and what it going to be build and required
  • It helps to detect new scenarios with a system or new requirement because when you start working on it, you can start to get questions and review posible outcomes
  • It makes me feel productive because it helps me to confirm assumptions and review with my teammates
It was an easy setup because you just require to sign in. If you want to can download the desktop version, it is recommended because if you keep Miro in the browser you can lost where it is easily between tabs.
Because anyone can access and review a board, it is really easy to get feedback. Most of the time I work alone in these flows and later on the people that need information found it useful. Then it is like working for future use at least in my case I work with projects that sometimes don't see the light, but the information keeps persistent to be reviewed when the moment of development finally arrives.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I think Miro is more intuitive and easy to use. MURAL, is also a really good tool.
I haven't tried more tools like this since Miro is the one offered in my work. But I think it is also the best, that is an assumption but I feel really comfortable working with it.
I think that Miro works great to document processes, and also to get ideas about different scenarios. It could be really great to share a complex process with a person or a team. Any kind of concept that involves different steps could be represented using Miro. Also for brainstorming, workshops, or getting insight from people. I don't think that Miro works well for prototyping or wireframing. It is also not a good tool to handle dynamic data, creating a dashboard or something similar.
