Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro to facilitate meetings related to our innovation process including, but not limited to, problem definition, research, project management, brainstorming, prioritization and action planning. Miro allows us to achieve our company's CO2 goals as well as our innovation ambitions by allowing us to collaborate effectively virtually. Previously, these types of interactions were hosted face-to-face. Now, we have an easy means of designing work sessions for small to large audiences and allowing "white board" work to persist, allowing for greater knowledge exchange and persistence of ideas.

Pros

  • Virtual Facilitation
  • Project Management
  • Brainstorming
  • Problem Definition
  • Prioritization of Initiatives or Ideas

Cons

  • Onboarding for less tech savvy colleagues
  • Improved productivity
  • Increased meeting efficiency
  • Supports CO2 goals by reducing need for regular travel
Implementation was fast and conscientious of our privacy requirements
Miro integrated well with our Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Teams.
Extremely well. It's the go-to tool for new project collaboration.

Figma is a UX tool primarily and is best saved for those use cases, though I've experimented with using it in the past for design collaboration.

Teams has the whiteboard feature which lacks critical functionality and is hard for many users to use.

I've dabbled with MURAL but found Miro to suit my needs perfectly and didn't spend more time on its direct competitor.
Any use case requiring collaborative problem solving lends itself well to Miro.

For project management, Miro is good for meetings, but less good for hosting files or maintaining an extremely structured means of hosting project progress.
