Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We started using Miro during the COVID pandemic as everyone was geography separated and we needed to find a tool that would allow us to collaborate quickly and efficiently. We got Miro as a project management and meeting space mainly but used it mainly as an informal chat space where we can toss ideas around.

Pros

  • Chat discussion
  • Whiteboards
  • Meetings

Cons

  • Stickers need improvements
  • Whiteboards can become to cluttered
  • Positive ROI
  • Improved productivity
  • Organized notes
  • Impromptu meetings
It was straightforward without any issues.
We integrated Miro with Microsoft Teams and it went smoothly, had no issues.
It was simple a matter of enabling Miro on teams on backend and then signing in. After that it was seemless integration and there was a Miro tab on teams.
Miro has had a positive impact on collaborating on new projects. We can schedule meetings on short notice since it is all virtual saving time and increasing efficiency as we all do not need to commute to the office. We are able to leave notes on Miro at any time so other team members can view whenever they are available instead of using email and going having to go through and entire conversation trail hoping we do not miss anything.

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro was better suited for our remote needs than both SharePoint and Teams. Both Teams and SharePoint had a higher learning curve than Miro and, in my opinion, configuring permissions on SharePoint and Teams were a lot of unnecessarily complicated work. Miro was selected due to the simple learning curve, combined with the functionality and ease of management.
Miro is well suited for remote work where everyone is not in the same room with physical whiteboards. But I am comfortable enough with Miro to prefer using the virtual whiteboards as it is easier to manage. The boards can become to cluttered and it would help if Miro had some way to organize a board with probably a table pf contents that can lead to a filter.
Miro is very good for group chats as everything is logged so I no longer need to taking minutes during meetings, we can just go over the chats and make a summary later on.
