Overall Satisfaction with Miro

First time reviewer, long time fan here. Miro solves for us a significant problem - we have a global team that frequently collaborates on workshops, engagements and synthesis work and is always under the pressure to work faster, leaner and be more efficient.

Miro is a key part of our strategy to make a small team punch above its weight class, we use it to rapidly synthesis and process observations and insights into content which we then use, in Miro, to facilitate workshops where we gather feedback and context from our stakeholders.

Miro gives us the tool we need to track participation, engage with each other and push our work forward as we bring the future to key decision making teams and help them contextualize it around their work, knowledge and expertise.

  • Tracks team participation and contributions
  • Serves as a collaboration platform for coordinated global work
  • Acts as a one-stop-shop tool for creating and facilitating workshops
  • Saves us time transcribing and organizing sticky notes from physical collaboration spaces
  • Allows us to store, organize and deploy insights and data to different projects based on need.
  • I'd like to see the ability to link data or cards between boards to create dynamic dashboards
  • An auto locking feature, or a feature to lock everything that is not a notecard to prevent accidental movements
  • Being able to see the layers or create layers rather than just send to back or front - this could be improved
  • Faster project times from kickoff to completion
  • The ability to gather more perspectives through asynchronous work (deeper and more complete work)
  • The ability to create templates we can deploy rapidly, eliminating days of setup time
It just keeps getting better. The ability to organize notecards appeared recently - it was previously something that had vexed me but I see continous smart improvements that make turning to Miro as the go-to solution for my team the easy choice.
My team in North America works asynchronously with our coworkers in Europe and China to develop ideas and rapidly share work. In many ways, thanks to Miro, we can see progress on our work develop over a 24 hour period with individuals virtually handing work off over the course of the day.
I find Miro to be a superior tool, other tools I have used became unresponsive or too slow to be effective in the roles and jobs I needed them to do. I am currently working in a Miro board with over 1000 discrete elements and it loads fast, I can maneuver and work with the material in real time without the board lagging to keep up. When working with a tool like this, it's important the tool itself doesn't become an obstruction to getting the work done. With Miro, I've never had to worry about that.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is well suited to collaboration and workshop facilitation. We use it daily to organize ideas and process work.

While Miro can be used as a tool for presenting finished work, the fact that the work is in Miro - at least for us - signifies that it is in the working space, not presentation space. A process for exporting sections to powerpoint might be useful where the work could exist as a living document that could be quickly prepared for sharing to non-working teams
