Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it as an instructional tool for live classes and tutoring sessions. It can be used by both the tutor and the student pending the student's proficiency in using a stylus to write on the board. Then we either maintain the board for the duration of that student's or class's instruction or create a .pdf version to share with the learner by email for review in perpetuity.
  • Simple hotkeys
  • Clear exporting
  • Easy to use pen tool
  • Loading time
  • Hanging up upon "update" reloads
  • Disconnecting when switching tabs
  • Allows us to offer unique products
  • Less training time for new tutors
  • Enables a content library of old sessions
I discovered Miro when it was still Real Time Board and it was easy for me to use. I am a devout technology hater, so when I discovered that I could use it easily, I knew that our tutors and students would be able to as well. I only wish that Miro would announce in advance when features would be changed for free users.
We use it solely for live instruction of end user students, so there is no "collaboration" per se internally that we do with Miro.
We still have tutors who prefer how they used to do things. The fact that I am able to convince most (not all) of these often stodgy academics to switch to Miro after one demonstration is a testament to how its simple to use interface is truly unique in the market.

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

We use it exclusively as a teaching tool. Over the course of years using the tool (going back to when it was known as RealTimeBoard) we know that we are only scratching the surface of what Miro can do. That said, the ease of use and lack of unique logins is what makes it so valuable for us since our instructors and student users are not going to be experts.
