Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I can safely say I AM OBSESSED with Miro and continue to recommend it to anyone who feels like they need place to organise their thoughts or projects. I use Miro in a multitude of ways. As well as using it in my company to facilitate remote team sessions, I also use it personally to help me organise and manage my personal goals; and organise my own learning and development. For example, I create boards for company culture sessions for remote teams, helping them work together online in a fun and engaging way to make decisions and collaborate. However, I also use Miro for my own project management. Mapping out client sessions, and organising timelines and being able to share resources and ideas with them through Miro. I also use Miro as an index space, I've created a "third" brain where I store ideas, practices and tools, for my work as my own virtual library/toolbox. The abilities with Miro are endless, and I'm always discovering new ways for it to help me stay focused and creative.

Pros

  • Facilitate remote team sessions
  • A space for organising ideas and practices
  • Collaborating asynchronously as a team
  • Managing client projects

Cons

  • More stickies designs and visual assets
  • Varied sticky note styles (they only come in square of rectangle right now)
  • Personalise sticky note style to colour of your brand / company
  • More transparency with clients on their projects - they love seeing what has been done on Miro
  • More effective at goal planning and strategy
  • Be able to have a space for teams to share and store ideas rather than being lost in a black hole
I can collaborate with ease with my own clients. But because of the sessions I've facilitated on Miro, many of my clients have now adopted Miro because they've seen how creative and collaborative it is. Collaboration goes to a whole new level thanks to Miro.
I prefer Miro against Mural because I find it more intuitive, and the tools are much more creative and agile than Mural.
I also LOVE the Miroverse where people share their boards and ideas. I get so much inspiration from the community, and when I can I try to join the live sessions to learn from others. There are some amazing things you can do with Miro and I feel like I'm only just scratching the surface.

I facilitated a remote team session with a company, and they raved about how fun and interactive it was. Although some people took some time to get used to Miro, and some didn't like it; 90% of the team loved the session and found it to be ideal for helping them collaborate more effectively.
