Miro Supporting and Streamlining System Development
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I am an IT Manager who oversees several business analysts and developers. We use Miro to create process flow charts that shows the flow of customer engagement, data in the system, and processes implemented in the field. We also use it to whiteboard with stakeholders and facilitate working meetings meetings with various workgroups. Internally we use Miro to map how data flows across environments and servers.
Pros
- provide good templates with good examples of how they can be use
- easy to adjust and move various elements of the board
- Able to easily share to stakeholders or SMEs with a view only link
Cons
- My spaces always seem very cluttered and I have a hard time finding things. I would like more ways to better organize my boards within a space.
- I wish there were more icons to choose from when creating a board. I have not had the chance to use wireframes yet. This might take care of this.
- Improved productivity
- Streamline work flow by having everyone using the same tools
- More structured conversations with better understanding resulting in more accurate product development.
My team is 100% remote supporting the transition of a statewide legacy system. Miro allows us to easily communicate and share ideas in a visual way to ensure a better understanding and more structured conversations are happening. Additionally, it allows us to understand when information is not being understood the same way and we can easily react and adjust so that our project team stays in sync and on track with project objectives and timelines.
We have replaced Microsoft Visio with Miro. I still do a lot of my wireframes in Balsamiq. However, I do plan on looking into Miro wireframe to see if it has what I need to switch to using it as my primary tool for putting together wireframes and presenting them to stakeholders and working groups.
