Perfect tool for multiple stakeholder co-creation
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I currently use Miro to run client workshops with multiple external stakeholders (ie not all from the same company) and map our user experience journeys for client design sprints. The business problems for workshops: companies need a tool for external stakeholder events (ideation with their clients, community hackathons, knowledge sharing through deep dives...) and need an easy way to contribute ideas - I create the board to facilitate this exchange. Not huge scope. Also required to use company tools like Klaxoon. The business problems for user experience journeys: missing alignment on the user journey with other stakeholders; missing a visual representation of the user flow other than analytics dashboards but crucially: missing the ability to contribute improvements to the journey. Becoming rarer as now using Figma for full Design Sprint process.
Pros
- Miroverse template bank for inspiration
- Voting and timer with the music
- I love anonymous mode which puts people at ease
- I like how easy it is to share for new users - they don't need to jump through hoops
Cons
- I'd like a way for voting sessions to be seen after voting - eg a number of votes or a symbol showing which were top voted- it's frustrating for all mainly new users to see the voting results and we have to then highlight winning stickets on our own etc.
- Would be nice to import our choice of music for the timer!
- Improved time to stakeholder alignment
- Improved customer satisfaction
- Improved Productivity
Very well. My clients are impressed when I use it. My colleagues/service providers appreciate working on a collaboration platform that has all the elements we need to make successful event or workshop.
I also train students to use Miro and the learning curve is good- they're used to using Canva.

Miro has simplicity and nice navigation - or perjhaps I'm used to it. Client techstack force me to use multiple other platforms but I prefer Miro mainly as i can easily copy existing boards and the new features are often in line with me needs - the other tools always miss something I like in Miro.
