Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use it every day as I work across many work-teams. We use it for so many different moments. Most of my teams use it as we're moving through the innovation process and we use a a board for each stage. Things like calendaring, documenting research, creating a visual thread across a work stream that shows each decision and how the work is progressing. It's perfect for a brainstorm space as well.
For a lot of my work, I use it to host client workshops and create collaboration/workshop spaces. I use it to replace a conference room and a whiteboards. It's fantastic for facilitating the creative development: from outlining the ask, to reviewing wireframes, to reviewing drafts of final creative and marking it up for edits.

Business Problems it Address: I need everyone in the same space and successfully guide them through a workshop when everyone is digital. I also need a central workspace that everyone can reference and we can document the work as it progresses through its stages.
Scope: It really encompasses the whole work stream. We create assets and then drop them in for client review. We create boards and exercises digitally for workshops to guid them through strategic decision making moments. We use it to audit our brand assets across all channels.
Pros
- Virtual Whiteboard
- Facilitates Workshops
- Central Project Space
- Individual Workspace (like a digital notebook)
Cons
- Bringing in out-of-organization users; sometimes I get notifications about seat limits and that's frustrating. I need temp access for a bunch of people.
- Boards that have lots of things get slow
- The scale is confusing. is this large or small?
- Increased project progress clarity
- Streamlined workflows
- Improved communication across team members
- Clients think we're bad-ass (helps us to show up as very organized)
It's been absolutely essential to the work I do with teams b/c they are all virtual. It keeps us organized, on-track, focused, and clear on all the workstream progress and movement.
I can't over-state how important the product is to the collaboration I do in my work.

Freeform (Apple), Canva workspaces, and Dropbox Paper. I don't use any of those because I like when an app is single-use in its function. Dropbox and Canva are trying to create a whole ecosystem and I think this means that some of the products (like Paper or Workspaces) will be weak and not get the focus that they need. With Miro, this is your sole function and I know you are going to be really good at it and work every time (which has been the case since I started using it MANY years ago)
