Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for a variety of tasks and use cases. We use it for client workshops. Having the templates (in Miro and our own) helps accelerate time to action.

We also use it for project background and group planning, ideation, and remote collaboration when working on client delivery and internal software or business projects.

Pros

  • Plenty of space for people to work in their own "rabbit holes" and then bring things together in a central location
  • AI summarization of multiple selected objects to reduce time for scribing and analysis.
  • Ready to go templates for almost any business, engineering, or design situation.

Cons

  • I like the command K hotkey for AI features and would like that back, especially for mind mapping.
  • I'd like more controls/options for editing text in shapes
  • I'd like imported or pasted videos to play natively vs links that load.
  • Reduced onboarding time
  • Improved team productivity and efficiency
  • Improved personal efficiency with knowledge base to reference and build new boards from
Better guided onboarding or video explainers for users new to Miro - showing controls and how to navigate based on input device (mouse vs trackpad), especially for older / more senior executives new to this type of tool.
Just select licenses and send invites. Not sure how to get better, but leaving room for improvement :)
Positively impacted given remote / distributed team. We wouldn't be able to easily visualize and communicate ideas and/or plans as efficiently without it or similar tool, but other tools I've used don't match the quality of features and speed of adding new features (well done!)
Biased because I started with Miro, but perceived learning curve was too high for me to realistically evaluate the tool for use by our teams.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Well suited for collaboration (async or live) and getting visual ideas or plans on a board that is easy to understand.

Less appropriate for multiple groups of stakeholders that do not have a shared agenda or outcome they are shooting for - too many cooks and not easy to wrangle them to work together given their different priorities.
