Reviewing my experience with Miro
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro in my organisation for running product discovery with customers and internal teams, and exploring customer opportunities. Miro enables my team to have a shared location for collaborating together as a team, doing live remote sprints and keeping track of our work. In addition, I use it for brainstorming and for planning of product initiatives. A majot strength of Miro for me is that it is easy to use, has a simple user interface that one can quickly figure out, and other useful tools that help with working remotely such as the countdown time and ability to follow colleagues on the board
Pros
- Out-of-the-box templates that are very relevant and help to setup things very quickly
- The feature to automatically cluster post-it notes into categories is really useful for product discovery when working together as a team in a product trio
- The frames help to keep the board tidy and well structured, as well as helping colleagues to quickly find things when a board is shared
Cons
- Tracking the changes that others make on a shared board is not intuitive. Users should be able to easily see comments and suggested changes in an easy to follow flow
- Improved productivity of product team
- Enhanced collaboration of teams
It had had a significant net positive impact. My organisation works fully remotely and we would not have been able to successfully work together as we do without Miro helping us work collaboratively in a seamless way. In addition, it also helps us to keep track of the work we do from year to year so that as people come and go, there has been an easy transition as teams can easily track what has happened in the past
Miro is the best tool I have used of all the tools I have used so far for team collaboration. I chose Miro because of the ease of use as well as being much more feature-rich than other tools. Moreover, Miro has consistently improved on its features and added more tools to help teams collaborate remotely.
Miro's UI is also better than the other tools I have tried
