Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Mainly for strategic planning, product discovery, sprint retros, user journeys, process flows, and brainstorming.

Pros

  • Brainstorming
  • Product Discovery.
  • Strategic Planning.

Cons

  • Board performance (loading times, fluidity when navigating, etc.)
  • Folder organization (there is just one level of folder hierarchy).
  • Improved collaboration.
  • Improved awareness around processes.
  • Improved stakeholder buy-in in highly complex journeys.
Vastly improved remote collaboration due to a few but critical factors - It is easy to use, meaning that new users can learn how to operate it very fast - It has helpful features to improve the visual organization of ideas - Moderation features improve collaboration in an organized and fast-paced environment - It can produce documentation that is more appealing to "read."
Miro is more reliable (with bugs) than Mural. Miro has more security and compliance-oriented features. Miro has more features to improve the board's visual organization. Miro has fewer features to enhance file organization.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Appropriate: - Brainstorming - User journey mapping - Process flow and redesign - Strategic planning (specially OKRs) - Product Discovery (organization of user comments and user insights) Less appropriate - Product specification or any scenario where a lot of text is required - Product roadmaps (hard to propagate date changes).
