Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for various projects. Currently, I work on a project with 3 other colleagues in which we create the concept for a service website for an external customer. The external customer is an administrative district. We are one Senior and one Junior UX Designer, one Junior UI Designer and a Project Manager. The website we are creating helps users with various citizen service administration tasks such as getting/renewing a licence, registrating a child for school or kindergarten etc.

Pros

  • Collaboration, working together on a project in real-time
  • Quick and easy note taking or visualizing ideas (meeting, interview etc.)
  • Having one place to store all concept working files

Cons

  • Wireframing: I like to use Miro for it, but some features are a little unintuitive or difficult to work with. E.g. the arrows are a little clumsy to work with, sometimes I don't want them to stick to stuff or just use as a random line.
  • Summarizing notes with AI. It does already work quite well, but there is room for improvement.
  • Using AI to generate Input
  • Improved productivity in collaboration between team members
  • Imoved productivity in note taking within e.g. user interviews
  • Heavily dependent on the tool. If Miro doesn't work, all our notes are online in the software. I'd love to see a possbility to store the boards on my notebook.
We use it everyday to collaborate and work together as we have two different working sites and a lot of remote workers. Miro helps us to work together even though we are no in the same place. Very often we use it in combination with Teams.
Miro has better collaboration and more features such as easier note taking and a big library for a variety of different tools. I like to use Milanote for my own private use as it has the possbility to store contents into folders which helps me being organized. Even though it doesn't have as many features as Miro it fits my needs.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is well suited for anything in the Design Process as a UI/UX Designer that doesn't need high quality design work. Wireframes, notes, organization, discussion, inspiration collection - it's very good and helpful for this. Anything that goes beyond doesn't really work in Miro. It is also very helpful for remote work and collaboration. If I had to use a tool for my own note taking I'd probably prefer Milanote because of the folder system.
