Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Primarily used to track work amongst teams. Our work is very visual, so it helps act as a centralized whiteboard for all team members to see what is going on across the team and for team leaders to give feedback. Separately, we also use it for the same reasons, such as sharing it with the client teams. The creative tools (stickies, annotations, etc) provide a quick and simple format for feedback.

Pros

  • Quick and easy to use and understand.
  • Creative tools for annotating.
  • Collaboration.

Cons

  • Ways of optimizing board size to keep functionality smooth and light.
  • Better stickies (formatting, color.
  • Better arrows/annotations.
  • Better image spacing tools (ways to get all images to be the same and evenly spaced, but options of which way to space them).
  • Streamlined productivity to no end.
  • Enhanced collaboration across different specialties within the company.
  • Directly improved the ways we creatively interact with clients.
  • A tool that ultimately got us through COVID as a business - we hadn’t worked remotely before, and it instantly helped us to collaborate virtually.
To no end - I have no idea how we would now operate without it. I think it’s also improved our in-person collaboration as a result of so much of our virtual work being collaborative. Approx 95% of our clients are outside of the UK, so it enables us to connect with them to share our creative work seamlessly but also allows our design team to continue their innovative work when not in the office. We have a team member who works in NZ and works through our night in the UK. Miro enables him to keep up to speed with the team's progress that day.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Part of our work is creating high-definition renders for marketing materials for international clients who we don’t often see in person but frequently on calls. This goes from selecting camera angles and picking the props desired to be included (i.e., pillows, tableware, etc.) to feeding back on discrepancies or commenting and highlighting mistakes in draft renders. Multiple teams across the client side could be working on this, and various people from our side could upload work. This makes Miro the perfect way to gather all of this info and all of the feedback in an effortless and quick way for all involved. Where it falls is when we have a load of high def renders where the file size is Huge, eventually the board becomes super super laggy which counters the simplicity that draws us to use the platform.
