Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Well, we are a startup with seven people in total, in which everyone has access to Miro. We are not big fans of the Microsoft suite, and we use Miro as a collaborative tool to draft, design, and share product and tech flows. Miro is a powerful tool for collaborating with colleagues and brainstorming business cases.
Pros
- Collaborate with multiple colleagues.
- Sprint design.
- Customer journey flow.
- Tons of pre-built template.
Cons
- Miro board gets very slow when we embed multiple PDFs.
- I don't know Miro can make slides until a friend from Miro told me so.
- I don't know Miro board can be private until a friend from Miro told me so.
- Efficient communication for us to share our insights or thoughts.
- Save time to collect all the document when we can just share it on one Miro board.
We use Miro as our main collaboration tool to share strategic insights. Starting from creating a project, setting a timeline, collecting necessary documents, and delivering insights.
As a user who has access to both Miro and FigJam, I would say FigJam has the platform advantage since it's built together with Figma; if you are more into product design and you've already got a subscription to Figma, you are more likely to use FigJam, I mean why not, this saves you time to switch from one platform to another. The advantage that Miro has over FigJam is the billing setup. We are a startup and take the startup plan, which is around 10 euros per month, and we get monthly invoices. This gives us much more flexibility to terminate or add since sometimes we have colleagues leaving and joining. While FigJam is annual billing, if you opt for an organization plan, it is 5 euros per seat, but it is billing annually, which is not quite convenient for us.
