Overall Satisfaction with Miro
My company uses Miro for brainstorming and mapping activities. In my specific role as Senior Marketing Manager, I leverage Miro to build out my campaign maps - which include desired workflow set up, segmentation rules, and launch timelines. I find that doing these activities using a visual platform allows for my senior stakeholders to easy grasp the content in a simple way/
Pros
- Templatized workflows
- Sharing permissions (selecting a visual window for the recipient is so cool)
- Following user's cursors
- Locking content in place
- Comment feature
Cons
- Miro takes up too much wifi, my computer will often shut down when I'm using it
- Needs more intuitive editing, too difficult to work around the arrows
- improved productivity
- reduced number of meetings
It has been a complete game changer in the last two orgs that I have been a part of. It has drastically reduced the number of "demo" or "walk-through" meetings to validate concepts and strategy, since I can now just slack my stakeholders with a short message and a link to a Miro board where all of my relevant information is detailed. It helps keep me organized and also stores historical data.
I only had experience with LucidChart before Miro but the interface was not flexible enough to allow me to do everything that I can do with Miro. The interface was also not as friendly or intuitive.
