Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it for planning our R&D work every quarter. This is essentially importante when we want to validate an plan the dependencies between the teams. We also use it as a whiteboard when the team needs to brainstorm ideas. I've done several retros and RCAs as well and this works really well as a basis for the conversation.

Pros

  • Whiteboard
  • Multiple user on same board
  • Pre-defined templates with sample data

Cons

  • Sometimes items should be connected, for example a Gantt chart. It would be great to have this type of "linking" items and have them adapt automatically.
  • When too many people are on the same board, it starts lagging.
  • Improved cross-team visibility on dependencies
  • Faster brainstorming amongst team members and allows us to "store" the brainstorm instead of a physical whiteboard which then can't be shared or edited.
Dependency management and brainstorming. Same as mentioned in previous questions.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Best for brainstorming using the mindmaps. It's easy to use, fast to put into practice and quickly put our ideas in place.

Not good for Gantt charts that we want to have update semi-automatically. It makes creating a plan a difficult task since we would like to change one task as see the impacts on the following tasks, but we need to manually move them.
