Overall Satisfaction with Miro

As a strategist, I use Miro to collate research, quickly ideate, synthesise and organise information and data. As a large, global firm, Miro enables us to work in real time together as a team, share information easily with clients, and iterate without the need for additional tools or complex programmes.

Pros

  • Data organisation
  • Simple, wireframe design
  • Collaborative working

Cons

  • Layers need to be improved
  • PDF handling
  • Setting up guides on frames
  • More intuitive frame organisation
  • Environmental – has reduced amount of paper we use (post it's / print outs)
  • Efficiency – teams are able to work together even from remote locations, reducing pressure on the office
  • Productivity – easy to find boards rather than wasting time searching through servers for project work
I find Miro very intuitive but some new tools require more finessing or explanation. As someone who uses it often, I'm always impressed by the new functions that Miro continues to add in response to community feedback, but some tools (ai integration) are blocked by my organisation, so I'm not able to benefit from using
Post it's are an easy way of marking up notes onto presentation during a call or workshop, to capture feedback visually so that clients can see the feedback happening in real time. Active links make it easy for us to keep tabs on where our information is coming from, and find it again in future.
It has reduced the reliance on other programmes, such as adobe suite, for basic tasks such as storyboards or draft outlines. Similarly with powerpoint, when simple decks are required we will decide on the complexity required but will often default to using Miro instead of programmes we would have used historically

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is well suited to the beginnings of projects, where teams are ideating together and testing out different examples. It's a great place to capture notes from workshops / presentations, and then be able to organise them meaningfully to inform designs as they evolve.

Miro is less appropriate once you need to combine different types of media created in different programmes. For formal presentations beyond wireframes, other tools should be used.
