Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro is being adopted rapidly across my org for business analysis artefacts and user research. I've been a miro user for 2.5 years and regularly use it to create static wireframes, plan system demos, run agile ceremonies, brainstorming sessions, and create interactive training material for new feature launches. The biggest benefit is making things more visual. I'm able to create quick diagrams to explain ideas while on teams call, which helps me get faster feedback and reduce bottlenecks. I am now creating templates for internal users and the miroverse to contribute to the community
Pros
- Visualise everything! Collaborative brainstorming and ideation has never been easier
- Great templates and easy to use elements. I don't need to add ten different animations per slide to emphasize my point
- Great to have integrations with other diagramming and project management tools such as DevOps and Jira
- Great elements to run collaborative meetings
Cons
- Integration with Figma, if possible
- Layers feature on boards breaks sometimes. It will merge elements from different layers, which have to be fixed manually.
- guides or best practices on what zoom level works well.
- More training material! Miro innovates really fast and it's tough to adopt features without knowing how to
- MiroAI still in its infancy
- Our Organisation wide use of Miro is still in its infancy, but we are already noticing increased team productivity and reduced hand offs
- Roadmapping is far easier
- Easier to get alignment with visual cues and promote customer centricity with Miro's excellent story mapping templates
I use frames, sticky notes and basic shapes more than anything else. It's also great to be able to link items on the board with lines and arrows. Importing documents, links and other artefacts has been a game changer for most teams as we don't have to switch between multiple systems anymore - It's all in one place!
Where team members are comfortable, we are slowly adopting various other collaboration tools such as dot voting, people chart, and polls.

Miro has had a massive effect on how we ideate, brainstorm and visualise progress together. Miro has replaced or substituted our use of a suite of Microsoft products such as Visio and PowerPoint. We have also moved away from project planning on Excel to Miro.
At times, it also acts as a collaborative repository for several project documents and artefacts created on other systems and then imported to a Miro board

Miro's real power lies in bringing tools and artefacts from varied sources together into a single place for better collaboration.
Miro's also the easiest to use and integrates well with other softwares. So, instead of trying to replace them, Miro complements them which drives a smoother adoption across organisation. For quick wireframes, I prefer miro. However, for functional and interactive wireframes and prototypes, Figma is far superior.
I only use PowerPoint for publishing formal slide decks. For all other presentations, I've switched to using Miro and find it far easier to collaborate and create with.
Having the ability to integrate Azure DevOps cards and Jira cards has been a game changer for planning iterations
