Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use it for brainstorming new ideas, problem-solving challenges, mapping out processes to identify the current way of doing something, proposing new ways of working, and hosting retrospectives.

Pros

  • Templates
  • AI board support.
  • Collaborative remote work.

Cons

  • I am working with an organization to validate AI concerns, but I am unable to access the AI capabilities through my work email/SSO.
  • Toggle between accounts - Canva makes this easy. I can use my work email and account during the day, and with a single click, I can toggle to my personal account.
  • A single pane of glass allows for the organization of all information in one visual place, providing more space to navigate between connections.
  • Productive collaborative remote work.
  • Team efficiency.
Getting a new board started can be time-consuming, especially when it comes to picking out the right templates and figuring out how to add multiple ones. I wish you could type into AI what you're trying to do, all of the things you'd need on your board, and it would populate suggested templates for you.
Templates, AI support (i.e., extracting themes, moving stickies to a template or a doc).
Yes - I used to brainstorm on Powerpoint slides, and Miro has helped put all of the information in one place.
It has a whiteboard app, but it lacks the functionality that Miro offers. I wish there were a microdot task integration. I like that I can tag myself or others in Microsoft products (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.) and it will populate in my to-do list.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I love using it, and it has taken a long time to get buy-in from my team to use it. A completely empty canvas can be intimidating, even with templates available. It can still be daunting for new users to figure out how to build and connect multiple elements on a board.
