Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro has so many solutions for my business. First, project plans can be easily depicted using a timeline. Additionally, flow charts make it easy to help a client walk through their customer journey map. Finally, the post-its and collaboration modes enable incredibly valuable virtual discovery sessions.
Pros
- Timeline graphics (and shifting between different views and formats)
- Virtual Design Thinking or Brainstorming workshops
- Mind Maps, brainstorming for projects
Cons
- The lower tier plans could use slightly more functionality (dependencies or sub functions on a timeline); this seems like a small thing to pay nearly double the price for and it is literally the only additional feature I desire in my small consulting business.
- I'm not there yet. If I had the sub-task option in my current plan, it would save me money because I could limit my reliance on Notion. However, I can't shift over yet so I have to pay for both.
The post its and brainstorming, categorizing, etc.
Being able to designate certain frames on a board is incredibly helpful because I can track an entire project on a canvas in Miro, and frame different aspects of the project as we work through the milestones, wihich make it easy to collaborate and track.

I mentioned before - I would shift away from Notion for many things and use Miro solely if it had one additional piece of functionality.
Jamboard (RIP)
I like the interface and additional functionality better on Miro than in Mural
Figma is great, but it's a little more than I need (I'm not a designer). I can get what I need for it from Canva.
Notion - don't want to beat a dead horse. But dependencies are better represented and tracked in Notion, especially in a timeline.
