Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • Needs a lot of time to build boards and such to your needs but when done saves time in the end.
  • Keeping track of time spent and materials used is much easier.
We use monday.com to organize most aspects of our projects:

  • Handling requests.
  • Assigning project ID/order number.
  • Keeping track of time and materials used for each project.
  • Checklist and Gantt charts for project tasks.
  • Logging invoices.
We also use monday.com to report individual worker ours via forms to make timesheets salary payments.

We do passage control systems and manage programming and deliver of keycards/tags for the clients users. For this we manage orders and keep inventory in monday.com.

Pros

  • Adding functionality based on user request.
  • Adaptability.
  • Fast support.
  • Stimulating good user community.

Cons

  • Use of formulas is higher payment tier.
Depending on users' basic computer skills and will to learn and adapt. If one is not used to work in computer apps like for example Excel it's harder to get it going...

We used Excel to do list of ongoing projects and such before. When users that are not used to that kind of work are required to input info in any app like monday.com or other it can get a bit hard to get it going.
It's fast and personal... contact does not feel scripted.
I get messages of interruption in performance that I have not even noticed.

  • Custom making "Excel sheets" with more functionality like inventory list and such.
  • Managing projects.
  • To do lists that can get more advanced as needed...
  • Collecting and sorting data.

Harder to use on mobile devices as it lacks some of its functions in the app.
