Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to track and manage projects within our own team, and across departments. It connects to many platforms we were already using, meaning it integrated easily into our process. We also use it when hiring outside contractors as a way to manage their work with our different teams.

Pros and Cons

Good for repeated tasks.
Great for multiple views of a project: can see collateral, different calendar views, Kanban, etc.
It has become the hub for all ongoing projects. We can connect google docs to a single project's board, leave each other comments. It connects to slack to notify team members when they have an upcoming task or have been tagged.
Automations make using this a delight! You can even create custom automations if they don't have what you are looking for.

Viewing certain files linked from Google drive can be difficult (like pdfs).

Usability

It is very easy to get started and onboard new team members. monday.com has a very intuitive design. The integration to other products we were already using and very familiar with makes it easy to use. Template are well thought out and very useful when starting with monday.com, but you can build your own templates once you are comfortable with how you and your team need to use it.

Support Rating

I've only had to contact support a couple of times but they were very responsive. When one issue wasn't easily resolved another monday.com team member jumped in to resolve it with a very thorough explanation, including screenshots of exactly what I needed to do.

It is excellent for project management. Easy to organize different projects for different teams, making sure everyone is on the same page. It has become a hub for our company's projects. It is great for outside contractors as well. For example, we work with a graphic designer as an outside contractor. She can see what projects she has coming up, and can link visual to her drafts right in the project's board through a connection to Miro. Our team can directly comment on the work in Miro (through the monday.com connection).
