Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use monday.com to manage nonprofit organizations that I handle for project management and nonprofit governance and development. The problems that I am able to address using monday.com are managing the overall scope and detail tasks for each project, maintaining a high-level view of progress as well as a detailed evaluation of tasks and team members who are responsible for the completion of tasks.

Pros and Cons

Integrations: There are several third party apps that are being connected to our monday.com project workspace which helps streamline syncing information.
Isolations: I manage multiple projects with varying team members. Some projects are restricted to executive management. I am able to isolate team members based on their respective responsibilities and protect confidential project information.
Templates: Monday.com also has simple to use CRM templates that have been extremely useful in donor management and volunteer registration.

I have only been using Monday.com for a few months so I do not have any feedback on improvements yet. If I do, I would be happy to provide that feedback at a later time.

Return on Investment

Time Savings: Team members are primarily volunteers. So, monday.com helps reduce the number of unnecessary meetings and calls we are required to have for status updates.
Increased efficiency: Project boards have provided a great platform for resource management and team communication. We are no longer required to meet or send multiple emails in order to communicate responsibility, check progress or share documents and other information.
Simplicity: Set-up of the project boards and processsing from initiation to execution to post-mortem feedback has become incresingly easier than our paperbased and nonintergrated spreadsheet based project management tools. Creating boards, assigning responsibility and requesting updates has never been easier.

Usability

monday.com has allowed me to manage multiple projects with over 20 team members and at click know the project status. I can also communicate with the responsible teams leaders and volunteers with respect to specific tasks on any project in minutes. I am also able to connect executive leadership to boards for monitoring the progress on any project.

Support Rating

I have only had to utilize the "How to" videos for many of the features that I have used. As I expand the project management for the organization that I am working with, I am sure I will engage customer service but I have not needed to do so thus far.

Reliability & Availability

I have never experienced any down time using monday.com. This has made my overall experience great. I am a new user and as I explore the features, I believe the reliability will be as great as it has been so far.

Alternatives Considered

I have never evaluated any other projects. I was so impressed with the intuitive user interface of monday.com that I looked no further. In the time that I set up the system during the trial period, I found that usin monday.com was easy and did not require a great learning curve before I could be productive. I can only expect that as I learn more about monday.com that I will be even more pleased with what I am able to accomplish.

Likelihood to Recommend

monday.com has been very useful in sharing information about project status with volunteer committee members without jeopardizing the integrity of the project boards. I have not yet determined areas where the application is less appropriate. As I utilized the features more if I have feedback like that, I would be happy to share.
