Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

monday.com has helped all our staff have a central place for information and work more collaboratively as a department. We manage over 150 events and services a year, plus dozens of projects, and it helps keep everything straight. We're also starting to dive into using the Forms feature to help expedite and streamline the intake of needs from other departments within our organization.

Pros

Cons

  • Some of the new features need improvements. I.e. the Quotes/Invoices app is still very basic
  • Syncing items across multiple boards
  • Calendar integration with Outlook needs improvement.
  • It has helped us avoid missing things when multiple people are capable of completing a task, as we can assign and update each other on progress.
  • It has helped our upper leadership to see a high level scope of things, to better determine how we manage projects and events moving foward.
  • It's setup our department to be better prepared for future hires.
For the most part, it's very easy to understand and function within. Sometimes the automations are worded in a little bit of a different way than I would. And sometimes the templates auto-populate a lot of examples, as I eventually end up deleting them to do my own. But overall it's a very easy software to function within.
I've only had to contact support once. They were very helpful and relatively quick in responding. I haven't tried calling, only live chat/email. The feature I was reaching out about was a newer app in the software that wasn't able to do all of what I was hoping it would do, but the support team was helpful and said they would pass along my comments to the DevOps team.
I've never had it be laggy, slow, crash, or difficult to access. It's been quite reliable!

monday.com is well suited for keeping a business, department, or group of contractors, all organized in one place. The more all of the users engage in its use, the better it becomes. It would be least useful if a department head/manager knows that their staff won't utilize it much. In that case, it won't be worth the investment.
