Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

We use monday.com to organize out tutoring program involving 15 instructors. The program helps with communication, payroll and overall organization of the process. We can link all the materials and progress info of the student together in one place, so all shareholders have access.

Additionally, we manage events through the programs. It helps our teams stay on task.

Pros

  • Manage payroll to tutors at completion of assignment
  • Provide a central place for notes and important document links
  • Provides a way to keep track of the status of projects.

Cons

  • monday.com could use customizable templates for groups. Especially for groups you create often.
  • It would be great if the subitems columns could be unique to each group
  • We could help with exporting boards as a backup.
  • monday.com perfect for the tutor program. Previously, information was impossible to keep with the student and payroll was a mess.
  • This has helped our event planning. So great to find info so easily
We don't use templates, though we probably should. We find that the ease of use and customizability is the best features of the program.
Overall, we have had no problem implementing the program. I think there are features we don't know about. Perhaps a periodic seminar that reviews the new features of the program, so that we can see if those features are helpful to us.
The program is very reliable. There is a small lag time with updates amongst users, but that may be an internet problem on our side.

I volunteer on committees at the High School. monday.com would be a total game changer. I wouldn't have to check in with my teams on their status if all was listed in the board. Also, it would help with referencing paperwork. I can't recommend this program highly enough to anyone working on team projects. Information is easy to find and the boards are so customizable that everyone/anyone can use it!
