Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

I use monday.com in my own internal cell within the company. We are a multimedia providing team, so we basically do costumer service for other area, and need a way in which to manage and organize our clients petitions, as well as look over the availability of the cell to give service to other costumers. We use monday.com mainly for its work forms feature. We have a master form in which client answer multiple questions depending on their needs, and we get the petitions directly at our inbox. With the automations we're able to assign and distribute the petitions of this forms to the correspondent team members, as well as integrate tools like outlook to send our clients confirmations, reassign dates or even turn in the final products with just one click. It helps us automatize processes, like sending each client a confirmation email, and focus more of our time creating and designing for them.

Pros

  • WorkForms
  • Automations
  • Integrations

Cons

  • The "email" column. There should be a way to be able to send an email with copy to other users but directly from automations. As of right now, you can send an email with CC's but you have to manually send it. If you use the "email" row in an automation it only sends out the email to the main email entered, not the CC's or pulse.
  • CC to pulse, in email column.
  • This feature works partially, when an email is sent, copying the pulse of the task, it does provide updates on the task, but when the email is sent to emails outside of the monday.com organization it reads an error, saying that said email is not recognized within monday.com. I think this is a missed opportunity for working with automations and external clients to the team.
  • Columns. I like the way the columns work, however it would be cool if there was a way to personalize which are shown in each group of elements. As I've stated, i have a master work form for clients, and being a master, including so much fields, the columns are endless, and I divide the entries in groups, which not necesarilly need to see each column. This, you would argue, could be solved having multiple boards, however i would much prefer it if everything was contained in one single board.
  • Duplicating tasks on other boards. I remember this including the actualizations column before, but it doesn't anymore. It is really helpful. Bring it Back!!!!
  • It has bettered our relationship with our own clients
  • It has diminished the range of error when providing our clients with the tasks they ask for
  • It has saved the members of our area a lot of time while working on tasks.
It is really intuitive. As I've said, it is like a superpowerful excell spreadsheet, so seeing it that way it is easy to understand, yet so easy to manage and redistribute tasks.

The more advanced features like forms, and automations maybe arent super easy for everyone, but there's plenty of tutorials monday.com provides that are super helpful and well explained.

In my team, im the one that manages most of the automations, but my team members manage their own tasks and they got a hold of the software pretty quick, having never used it before.
I was unaware of this service, but now that I know of it I will try and user it from now on.
monday.com has made our time management and task management to give service to our clients super reliable. It helps save time for us omitting repetitive and tedious tasks like sending emails. It helps leave a record of all the tasks we've performed and keep track of each members time and tasks. It is reliable and has helped our team for over 2 years.

Do you think monday.com delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with monday.com's feature set?

Yes

Did monday.com live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of monday.com go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy monday.com again?

Yes

I think monday.com is pretty much suitable for any kind of project and task managing. Most teams have a list of to-do's, a kanban board with post its or an interminable excell sheet with tasks that has to be modified daily.

monday.com is like a super powerful excell sheet that notifies users, allows for easy rearrengement of tasks and embedding of documents.

I think monday.com maybe wouldn't be as appropiate for scenarios where the work is more immediate, hands-on. Where there's not even time to assign task, but all the employees are there personally and on the run.
