Overall Satisfaction with MS SharePoint
MS SharePoint is used by the entire organization to basically get messages out internally and improve communication. It is a very large company with several different working shifts, so getting announcements out to all employees can be a real challenge. It definitely met and exceeded its purpose. This worked well because employees sit at a desk for a majority of their working time and are required to check it daily.
- Simple and easy to use the platform.
- Aids in effective internal communication.
- Secure.
- There is always room for improvement. Although it is easy to use, it could always be simpler.
- Would be nice to be able to log in from anywhere, not just on company computers. That may be something the employing company set up though.
- I was on the user end, as a lower level employee. I would imagine it had a pretty great ROI. When working in a large company it is important to give people the same information across the board. It makes you look better and more streamlined as a company.
- When the right hand knows what the left hand is doing, or has figured out, it can only bring positive outcomes to the company.
Dropbox and Facebook both are very easy to do the same thing with. I don't know what the pricing is for Sharepoint, or what king of controls are on the back-end, so my knowledge on the back-end of Sharepoint is very limited. As a user, they seem very similar and easy to use.
