Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite
NetSuite is used by the Finance and Budgeting departments for most accounting and budgeting purposes. We use NetSuite for accounts payable, accounts receivable, making journal entries all across multiple entities in various countries. Certain budget managers in the company have access to the budgeting module we use that integrates with NetSuite.
- NetSuite is easier to make journal entries in than other software I have used. If a correction needs to be made then a user can edit the entry instead of needing to reverse an entry and re-enter it.
- NetSuite allows users to memorize transactions and choose to set them as automatically recurring or manually recurring. This makes month-end transactions easier since the entry is mostly completed already.
- NetSuite allows the user to store back-up on transactions in the "filing cabinet." This allows the approver to easily see the work done behind the entry as well as making it easier when auditors come and pull entries.
- Importing journal entries can be finicky sometimes for no apparent reason.
- Making Intercompany journal entries could be more user-friendly. It is not very intuitive, more could be done on the back-end.
- Setting up things in NetSuite by the admin are sometimes more complicated than they seem to need to be.
- NetSuite has made our close process at the end of the month much easier. We can close the prior month quicker which gets numbers to our managers quicker and makes them happier and able to make decisions quicker.
- Integrating a budgeting system with NetSuite has also allowed us to help our manager manage their budgets better.
- We lost some teammates and did not need to rehire because of the ease our suite of account software programs offer us.
- Not a member of any user groups
NetSuite is far superior to these. NetSuite allows for integration with many other products making it very customizable. NetSuite is also much easier to use and set up as the user likes to make their process easier and more automated. NetSuite also makes it easier to have journal entries reviewed and when edits need to be made it is much easier in NetSuite.
