Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite ERP

Within Finance, NetSuite is our ERP so I use it in all the functions that depend on the centralized data repository, particularly that which houses our Account Payable and vendor integrity function. Some of the business challenges are but not limited to house vendor integrity information that then feeds other platforms including P2P systems and processes. My scope is limited to AP and vendor management functions within P2P.

Pros

  • Vendor data repository
  • API plugin to major tertiary platforms
  • Accounts payable plugin

Cons

  • Does not have a robust P2P solution that can live within the ecosystem
  • The contract management platform is not robust
  • Vendor management is lacking
  • NetSuite was already in place when I joined, so I can't be sure on impact
  • While using it, NetSuite has been solid at providing necessary accounting support needed.
  • NetSuite has also been relatively flexible when API plugging into more robust solutions.
I was not part of the decision makers to bring NetSuite. However, compared to other ERPs I have used, NetSuite is pretty robust although not a one-stop solution. NetSuite would do well to vertically integrate more like competitors at Oracle.

Do you think NetSuite ERP delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with NetSuite ERP's feature set?

Yes

Did NetSuite ERP live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of NetSuite ERP go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy NetSuite ERP again?

Yes

It's good. It's not great, but it's not bad. It's robust, but not a one stop shop. Depending on cost, it can be a good value.
Support is present when needed but not proactive.
NetSuite is best when used by an organization getting ahold of and wrangling enterprise information and resources such as AP, AR and basic vendor integrity data. It also serves well as a bridge to a more robust ERP once the organization has grown past it. I wouldn't look to NetSuite as a one stop shop for ERP, P2P, contract management etc. They say they can, but no.
