Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite ERP

We use NetSuite to manage our inventory, order to invoice processes, RMAs, purchase requests/expenses, supplier management, and accounting. There are other more granular ways we use the system, but that's a high level description.
  • Embedded, easily managed reports/searches.
  • Simple, yet robust development architecture for customizations.
  • Seamless, scheduled updates.
  • Performance can be a concern if you're not keeping up with best practices with your customizations.
  • Overall performance can take a hit if a huge amount of records continue to be created (inventory cost revaluations would be an example).
  • The security model needs to be enhanced, as field level security for out of the box fields need to be handled via code.
  • We've been able to better manage our accounting books.
  • It allowed us to migrate off an on premise ERP solution to help with our cloud initiatives.
  • Modern software will help us scale better in the future.
NetSuite is much more modern and robust system when compared to Exact Macola.

The interface is well-constructed and consistent between screens. Some load times on specific record types can be a bit long though (even without scripts/flows).
They're quick to respond, but can sometimes be a bit inconsistent. Some support reps will have extensive knowledge of the system and can provide great assistance, but others will not be able to provide a usable solution/explanation for the case.
If you have a lot of legacy software on premise that will still be needed, it will be tricky to manage the data between systems. If you're looking to start fresh or can migrate all your data/processes over, NetSuite is a great choice as it has every type of embedded system needed to run a company.
