Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely Web Experimentation

We use Optimizely Web Experimentation platform to do A/B testing for different widgets on our website. Anytime we are working on creating a new page layout, and we are unsure which design/widget/layout is going to be good, experimentation seems to solve the problem. It acts in the same way how Google Optimize used to work but it is little complex in comparison to that.

  • Came with our Optimizely Bundle so didn't had to buy a separate A/B testing tool kit
  • A/B testing certain different layouts
I would give a 5 rating as we haven't scaled this tool to the maximum of it's capability in sense of scalability. It only sits within one team to test out different layout/design of a webpage. If there is any functionality like that, I am not too aware and there aren't much documentation to support that.
We have used Optimizely Content Management tool for doing project management along with experimentation to do A/B testing.
It saves up cost buying different products and also it is easier to integrate among each solution.
It is a good tool to achieve everything related to A/B testing under one umbrella. But it can be sometimes tricky also to implement it as it offers so much options.

The Optimizely Web Experimentation is well suited for scenarios where you want to test out different layouts of a webpage and do A/B testing for certain widgets. It is not good for cases where you have to do multiple testing of different widgets. As although it offers that option but it is super complicated to learn and understand it.
