Ease of Use: Users consistently praise the platform for its elegant and user-friendly design, which enhances productivity across various tasks such as A/B testing.

Reporting: The robust reporting capabilities, multi-account support, and advanced settings have been highlighted to be key strengths provided by the tool by reviewers who value detailed results engine provided by the platform.

Streamlining: Additionally, users commend the intuitive WYSIWYG editor for simplifying editing processes and aiding in thorough live and post-test analysis to streamline experimentation workflows. The ease of experiment setup with metrics tracking features further adds to the platform's appeal and has provided a quick streamlining experience.

Slow User Interface: Users have reported that the user interface can be sluggish, impacting their overall experience negatively. Some find the platform's navigation confusing, leading to inefficiencies. The WYSIWYG editor is described as clunky, hindering quick and effective changes, affecting user productivity.

It's an easy tool to implement across our various platforms, but it's difficult to understand how much monthly traffic we will need to buy to be effective on those extra domains.

Optimizely is worth the budget.

The ability to create different projects, add different people to these projects, have snippets/assets that work across these projects, and layer project management on top means there is very little that stops scaling safely.

A fantastic experience with Optimizely Web Experimentation!

I think Optimizely Web Experimentation is built to suit large enterprises as it not only allows unlimited users on its platform but also a lot of flexibility when it comes to deploying large amounts of experiments side by side.

For what we have needed and used it for, its been useful at the scale we need. I believe it would be fairly easy to scale this within an organisation, but I couldn't speak for performance on a larger scale.

I have to write tons of Optimizely-specific code to get anything meaningful done; challenging work done on Segment to unify across all systems is not directly usable by Optimizely if they are back-end events, making the overall experience poor.

Optimizely Web Experimentation has worked well to date with our website project delivery. As we've thrown more at it there have been no issues. Version control enables us to maintain web quality and integrity more readily. The capacity for it to work within an Agile framework is also of huge benefit to our organisation.

Optimizely Web Experimentation does a great job at offering scalability. However, we did face replicability challenges in executing the same experiment across multiple brands and regions leading to delay in execution.

Technically, the script performance is excellent, which allows to scale up experimentation without any performance impact. And to run multiple experiments at once at ease.
It allows as well organize by different projects, and different roles which fits well any big organization. Also integrates with JIRA to keep track of every experiment.

This is a very scalable tool but as it requires some knowledgment it is sometimes hard to use for other departments whose people may only have basic or no knowledgement. So sometimes it may require some sort of explanation or onboarding that may take some time. But when it comes to scalability from the tool itself, there is no debate about it. Anyone can feel how good is it to start using it with basic test and in no time be using it for advanced ones.

This rating for Optimizely Web Experimentation is rooted in the more complicated builds that are not feasible with just Java and CSS. These require the featured experimentation add on, therefore the base level platform I am giving a lower rating. We have had issues with overly complex test builds, because we can only utilize Java and CSS to make the elements

It is an amazing tool that has given our company lots of insights on website and CRO strategy. They have a great onboarding team that helps with all the training and plenty of documentation as well. It has taken our company to the next level and fostered an environment of website experimentation. The only reason I did not give it a 10/10 is because it is pricey, and works best for websites with high traffic volume. I also wished there were work around for connecting with GA4 other than GTM.

Great tool to get your team into the testing mentality.

While granted, I am not the one making the changes to deploy the software; it seems basically as simple as placing the optimized snippet on your site. If you place it in the header, it should reach across your entire site easily. I do think the test setup can be a bit temperamental at times, and having too many cooks in the kitchen can lead to errors. So, I would caution how many people have the access needed to make actual changes.

It's quite useful for the purposes that we've needed to engage with it! Multiple business units make use of the tool, some at larger scale than others. There does need to be a process set up between business units; however, to help with sharing of best practices and ensuring users know what is going on.

It has the ability to scale across the organization from content to e-commerce, to hosting to web experimentation. It's just how big or small you want to expand from web experimentation into the other services. This is one of the only platforms you can really expand without having to find additional partners to then bring in to do separate things. If you want to expand, there's different modules in different areas of Optimizely that can easily be added and be able to do that.

I would probably give it an eight just because of my experience with it. It's not to the level of probably a full-blown expert user.
