Overall Satisfaction with Outreach

Outreach helps setup sequences, tracks activity such as notices if customer read email messages, and it integrates to our CRM (Salesforce). it tracks contact name and information (address, email, phone). It is one of the foundational components of our Sales Enablement IT stack. It provides quick/easy means to contact customers and intelligence to track their engagement.

Pros

  • visibility and intelligence into whether customers opened/viewed/responded to email
  • integration with the CRM enables effortless updates to contact info
  • sequences enable automation of customer outreach, and ability to DRIP campaign easily

Cons

  • search function could be improved ... account, individual, etc can be tough to manage
  • could proactively validate contact information. lots of data imports quickly become bunk phone numbers or emails as employees bounce between prospect companies
  • the UI is noisy and difficult to ingest. lots of grey muted information ... could provide opportunity for colored highlights to POP
  • Outreach does contribute to revenue enablement and acceleration
  • time spent managing bunk / or out of date information is a time drain
  • sequences facilitate improved first mtg booked metrics by automating cold outreach, providing value to customers via email, and highlighting who is reading and responding
the platform is scalable, I see no constraints to the scalability. Personally I have imported a tremendous amount of data including account lists, prospect contact information and more and integrate to salesforce, dialpad, and more. we had previously integrated to zoominfo, and now to 6sense. Outreach is up to the job
we have not done much with the AI capabilities ... everyone purports to provide AI insights these days, and I personally have not seen much in the way of AI out of the Outreach platform
solid product ... loses a point as data loses reliability over time, and an interface that could be refreshed.

Do you think Outreach delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Outreach's feature set?

Yes

Did Outreach live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Outreach go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Outreach again?

Yes

the single best use I have is to track quickly and easily whether contacts are viewing and opening email messages. One can get a sense of prospect engagement, and how to craft follow ups ... one can get a clue if messages are potentially being shunted to a spam folder. When customers opt out, Outreach is somewhat helpful, but also allows us to still override and reach out which may violate "do not call" registries.

Using Outreach

250 - sales, sales enablement, sales leadership, marketing
2 - IT app owner . vendor manager/relationship ower. IT App owner oversees the integrations and end to end flow. vendor manager takes care of licenses, legal, contract, renewals, and related functions
  • cold outreach, sequencing
  • tracking communications
  • feeding other tools (Salesforce, Clari, )
  • sequencing can be multi-media (email, phone, video)
  • automated reminders to follow through on sequence
  • insight into deal $$
  • depending on AI, could be valuable insights
it is embedded in our IT stack and performs well. we run thousands of sequences and use this as a central repository for data and communications. difficult to envision rip and replacing it.
