Overall Satisfaction with PagerDuty

PagerDuty is being used across the whole organization. It is wired up with our internal observability system to page on-call engineers when services are showing problematic symptoms.
  • Reliable - During my 4.5 years of Pagerduty time, I can only recall one time something is wrong from the PagerDuty side.
  • Easy to onboard - I have set up PagerDuty integration for multiple services by now. And it has been a breeze.
  • Great analysis - My team has been using PagerDuty analysis to understand the stability of our services.
  • Ideally, we would love to register for services dependency. Therefore, when I am paged, I can check the health of my dependency services within a click, to understand if I am being impacted because of external pressure or if it is a problem of my service.
  • It keeps our service online and allows for fast engineering attention.
Our business relies on PagerDuty heavily. When our top-level metrics are down, it allows for fast attention to the right people and allows us to reach a resolution ASAP.
  • PagerDuty & Slack Integration - PagerDuty is configured to trigger slack messages in our team channel to alert both on-call and potential watchers.
  • PagerDuty & JIRA - PagerDuty will automatically create JIRA tickets and assign them to on-call when necessary.
