Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
I use to for create performance reviews, trainings, and surveys, as well as, evaluating employee details, monitoring and adjusting benefit enrollments, assisting in payroll operations, and onboarding new hires. Paylocity helps a lot with centralizing employee data so there is less of a need to reach out to third parties for trainings, surveys, and other employee details. My scope is pretty light with a wide reach of general HR metrics.
Pros
- Centralizing all activities of HR
- Has in depth training and knowledge base to assist with general implementation
- Has a nice layout easier navigation once you get the hang of it
Cons
- I'd like better reporting on my enhancement requests as it typically feels like its a set it and forget it situation until months later it may pop up again
- Customer service is a hit or miss with having to look for high level, experienced Paylocity reps for more in depth answers. It was frustrating to have to be told no solution by one customer service person only to find a solution or look for someone who knew more about Paylocity.
- Although there are some great connections between functions in Paylocity (HR & Payroll being the central focal point) I wish there were more. I can't see if a certain employees filled out a certain survey on HR & Payroll. I want to be able to remove or add a training from their profile too.
- Onboarding packets seem to be the way to have automated triggers such as for learning and surveys. But not for everything: performance reviews particularly.
- Surveys and performance reviews could have more customization so we can make it on brand and more engaging than the orange Paylocity color
- more consistent centralized processes
- more time expenditures due to errors
- more personalized information from company
Paylocity has been helpful in running payrolls and automating some of the processes. I think there are situations where an error appears after some deeper investigation and has created some alternate paths that we need to take to avoid those problems in the future. I can only speak from a third point of view since that's not my realm, but from what I've seen, there needs to be more consistency
Surveys have been helpful to bring out personal information from employees point of view. It's given more in depth knowledge on what we should work on to actively retain and optimize processes. Community has not been utilized yet as we are still working on other projects but the idea of announcements going from community to the self portal is great!
