Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity to run weekly payroll. We prepare the certified payroll on the system, and we upload it into the Department of Industrial Relations. The Paylocity platform is great and easy to use however, the implementation team is not trained for companies that have different divisions, different departments and need special reporting. In addition, if you work with unions, Paylocity cannot handle the complexity of different unions, different rates for same people on different jobs.

- When reports are working correctly, uploading forms into DIR or LCP tracker is great
- In my opinion, the implementation team is lacking
- I feel the reporting team is lacking and cannot understand report requests
- In my experience, the support team is unavailable when needed and takes 10-15 days to respond. This is useless as our payroll is run weekly
- In my experience, any deviations in the payroll due to special project rules, rates, or contributions cannot be handled by the system and must be done manually, negating the benefits of the platform
- In my experience, Paylocity made a lot of errors when implementing our data, causing a lot of manual work to fix their mistakes
- When asked to fix errors, they ask the client to sign absolution agreements. This is against the reason for hiring a payroll company
- I feel that getting a hold of supervisors is impossible

- However, as payroll got more complicated, it has required at lot of work arounds

The automation tools are lacking and the time tracking tool does not work properly.
We barely use the Community and other sections because we are having difficulty getting the basic sections of the payroll to work properly and do what they are supposed to do. While enhancement and new features are great, we need the basic payroll features to work properly first before relying on other features.
Insperity focused and relied on HR more than payroll. We need to make sure that Payroll is run correctly, certified reports are generated correctly, and information is transferred to the governmental agencies and unions correctly, before dealing with the added benefits of HR.
