Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity as our main HRIS. We utilize it for payroll, time and labor, performance, and learning. It has helped our company go to all digital records. We have been able to improve our performance review process and move away from spreadsheets as well as easily include self-reviews. We use the Learning Management system for our annual training. The mobile app is really easy to use, and my employees have only positive feedback. Before Paylocity, our onboarding was all done on paper forms, we are now able to onboard employees in half the time, and they are able to complete all of the required paperwork before their first day. Customer service is great! They are always very responsive and knowledgeable.

  • Improved performance management, saving managers and HR a lot of time.
Paylocity has saved our HR team significant time when it comes to things like onboarding new hires and being able to have all required paperwork done digitally and before the start date. The reporting is very robust, and I almost always find a report that I need. The reporting can be a lot, and I recommend taking the courses Paylocity offers to learn how reporting works before trying to dig into it on your own.
Our employees really enjoy the community. We have some other options for our staff so it is not utilized as much as I would like it to be. Employees always enjoy giving and receiving impressions and it is a great way for employees to call out their peers on a job well done.
Paylocity is much more robust. You can store employee documents; you have insights into things like retention, high-risk employees, and why they are at a higher risk of leaving. Paylocity also has a mobile app that allows my employees to punch in and out via mobile, which they did not have with Paychex.

I think Paylocity is great for any company and size. There are lots of options to choose from that fit your company. If you want less support or more support, it is up to you. I can't think of any times when it is not appropriate. When we first started we only used a few of the functions, but over time I have added items, like performance management.

Using Paylocity
