Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for 4 companies across our Company Set. We use it for HRIS, payroll, FSA, and Performance. It is an outstanding product for time tracking and payroll, and is very easy to use. Their customer service is outstanding and helps to solve problems quickly to keep our business running smoothly.

Pros

  • Payroll - time tracking and pay entry
  • HRIS - employee tracking and updating
  • Tax payments - their tax team does this for us

Cons

  • FSA - the FSA portal has been an ongoing struggle for our employees to access
  • I would like to see pay stubs and tax forms have a more prominent place on our employees' Self-Service Portal
  • Paylocity has saved us money over the system we used prior.
  • Paylocity helps us by saving us time, and reducing our errors.
  • We get great data from Paylocity that helps us to make informed decisions.
I only have to spend about an hour every 2 weeks when it is time to process payroll. Paylocity empowers our managers to take control of time tracking and PTO approvals to my my job easier. I can use my extra time on other large-scale projects instead of stuck in the weeds doing payroll.
We use Impressions each month when we do our employee rounding. Paylocity's system is easy to use and provides instant notification of each Impression. Our employees really like it and our managers love the ease of use! We plan to start using the Surveys product next year to complete our annual Employee Engagement Survey, as well, to put all of our data in one place.
We chose Paylocity for the features that it provides as well as a lower overall cost. The system works well for our needs and the platform is easy to navigate, easy to read, and easy to use. I would never go back to either Insperity or ADP. We did not have good experiences with either and they were both way more expensive than Paylocity.

Paylocity has been perfect for a company of our size. It might be overkill for a small company of under 5 employees, or not enough for a very large company.
